In July, CIS Glen Eira welcomed local Member for Caulfield, David Southwick MP, to the branch to learn more about the challenges facing people in the local community.
During the visit, David met with Community Information & Support Victoria (CISVic) CEO Kate Wheller, CIS Glen Eira Branch Manager Dani Markovic, and members of the CIS Glen Eira team. The discussion focused on the increasing cost of living pressures being experienced by local residents and the growing demand for community support services.
The visit provided an opportunity to share insights into the issues affecting individuals and families in the Glen Eira area, including financial hardship, housing stress and the ongoing need for accessible community support.
CISVic values opportunities to engage with elected representatives and other stakeholders to raise awareness of the challenges facing communities and to highlight the vital role local community information and support services play in helping people navigate difficult circumstances.
