Community Information & Support Victoria (CISVic) was pleased to join Minister for Youth and Minister for Carers and Volunteers, Luba Grigorovitch MP, for a visit to member agency Laverton Community Integrated Services (LCIS).
The visit provided an opportunity to highlight the vital role Community Information and Support services play in helping people navigate challenges, access practical assistance and connect with the support they need within their local community.
As a service the Minister knows well, LCIS was a fitting location to discuss the importance of place-based support and the impact that Community Information and Support organisations have across Victoria every day.
Community Information and Support services are often the first point of contact for people seeking help. They assist community members to understand complex systems, access information and referrals, and connect with local services that can respond to their needs.
CISVic thanks Minister Grigorovitch for taking the time to visit LCIS and learn more about the work being undertaken by Community Information and Support services across Victoria.
